Lab 02_1 - Constant Velocity Hints

In case you're concerned about how your graphs are working out, here are the ones I got for 1a and 13a.

In all your v,t graphs you should have pretty nice horizontal lines. There will be sudden jumps in the graphs while you still have hold of the cart with your mouse, but once you let go the graph should be pretty level.

For example, in 1a, my (x,t) graph
  1. starts out level - this is before I grab it with the mouse
  2. lurches upward briefly while I'm speeding up the cart
  3. then climbs in an almost perfect rising line while the cart is moving on its own.

When I reload my data and create a v,t graph for the matching time intervals it

  1. starts out level at 0 m/s.
  2. spikes, rising quickly upward and drops quickly while I'm dragging the cart.
  3. then settles down to a slightly wobbly horizontal line at a speed greater than 0 m/s.
