This scavenger hunt is a great way of familiarizing yourself with the workings of the World Wide Web. The answers to the following questions can be found by visiting some of the web sites that I've included in the Links section of the Physics front page. For this exercise, don't use that button (in the toolbar at the left) since it will open up the links in the same area as the scavenger hunt questions. You might want to print out this page before you start. To do this, just click in this part of the page to select it, then click File/Print Frame.
When you're ready to start, click on this image:
Each colored & underlined word or group of words is a link to another web site that might contain the information you need. To visit a site, just right-click (click with the right button) on the name of a site and then choose Open In A New Window from the menu that pops up. Examine the site, looking for clues about how to find the required information. When you find an answer, type it in the appropriate boxes below. (You can also copy and paste it.)
Use the task bar or "alt-tab" to go back and forth between the links page and the question list.
When you are finished and satisfied with your answers hit the Submit Your Answers button on the bottom and it will email me your answers. Don't panic about the encryption message that pops up.
Hopefully, in your searches above you noticed some irresistible items that you really wanted to stop and check out. Now might be a good time to do that.
THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE! (along with a lot of totally crazy stuff.)
