Kentucky Educational Television is the public broadcasting network for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. KET is internationally recognized for their award winning adult education series
GED on TV
and for other cultural, public affairs and educational programming offered to viewers.
Satellite Educational Resources Consortium
(SERC)
SERC is the only distance learning consortium that is a partnership of public television and state departments of education. With SERC programs, students can join thousands of others around the U. S. to participate in courses outside their regular school curriculum. Teachers and administrators can access courses for professional development.
Arkansas Educational Telecommunications Network
AETN offers lifelong learning opportunities to all Arkansans. Their goals are to supply instructional programs to Arkansas' schools; to provide programming and services to improve and enhance the lives of Arkansas' citizens; and to illuminate the culture and heritage of Arkansas and the world. To accomplish this mission, AETN, through the creative use of telecommunications, will present a high-quality public television service designed to inform, educate, motivate, entertain, enlighten and inspire.
South Carolina Educational Television
SCETV is South Carolina's Telecommunications Network. They provide essential educational and technical resources to public schools, colleges, technical colleges, universities, state agencies, hospitals, businesses, and law enforcement services. SCETV delivers quality programs of cultural, historical and educational value to the public. They provide programs and services for and about children that are educational, noncommercial, nonviolent, and promote ready-to-learn skills as well as self-esteem. SCETV is a vital resource that links individuals and groups within communities to examine critical concerns such as women's health, violence, the environment, cultural diversity and strengthening the family.
Connections+
Connections+ consists of Internet resources--lesson plans, activities, curriculum resources--linked with the corresponding subject-area content standards; included are other links to assist teachers with using the Internet in the classroom, such as a direct link to the Lycos search engine.
