The Arch Close up

Between the reliefs are recurrent patterns.
Starting from the base:
Section A: portrays sacrifice to give thanks for victories; notice the lamp stand in the center.
Section B: has symbols of sacrifices and 4 priests.
Section C: is the keystone. On one side there is the goddess Roma.  On the opposite side one finds Fortuna Redux, Guiding Fortune. On either side of the keystone one sees the images of the Dacian Triumph and military loyalty.   Beneath these angelic looking features the seasons are personified, a different one on each segment.
Section D: is an band that traverses all four sides and depicts Trajan's triumphal procession after the Dacian campaign.
