to hear - can be used in many ways

1) Hear a direct object.
Audio clamorem puerï

2) Hear with an indirect statement.
Audio + accusative subject of an infinitive
Audio omnes forum vidisse
I hear everyone has seen the forum.

3) Hear with an indirect question.
Audio + question word + subjunctive clause
Audio quid accidisset in urbe
I hear what has happened in the city.
