When forming the passive voice of the imperfect subjunctive, remove the active voice endings - -m, -s, -t, -mus, -tis and -nt - and add the passive voice endings: -r, -ris, -tur, -mur, -mini and -ntur. One uses the same procedure as learned with indicative verbs in the imperfect tense, e.g., regerem (I ruled) and regerer (I am ruled).
An imperfect deponent verb thus would use the infinitive. Change the i to an e and add the passive endings. For example, oriri to orire and then to orirer. When a deponent verb is in the 3rd conjugation - such as gradior, gradi, gressus - one needs to reconstruct the present active infinitive, thus gradi will lose the final i and receive ere and then the passive endings: graderer - I walked.
The pluperfect passive subjunctive is easier. Recall how one forms the pluperfect passive indicative. Use the 4th principal part of the verb and the imperfect of the verb to be. Thus for the subjunctive form, take the 4th principal part of the verb and add the imperfect subjunctive of the verb to be - essem, esses, esset, essemus, essetis, essent. For example, relatum esset - it had been brought back and (deponent) adorti essemus - we had attacked.
