CANIS ET CROCODILUS

A dog and a crocodile meet at the Nile River

Multi canes in Aegypto babitabant. Ubi sitiebant, aquam ex flumine Nilo
bibebant. Necesse tamen erat celeriter bibere quod erant multi crocodili
qui semper esurire videbantur et qui alia animalia edere volebant.
Olim magnus canis aquam bibere incepit. Crocodilus voce dulci
inquit, "Noli festinare! Aqua est optima. Bibe lente et otiose. Noli timere!"
Sed magnus canis parvo risu respondit, "Maximas gratias! Lente et
otiose bibere amo sed cognosco te semper esurire et te me edere velle.
Heri tu meum amicum bonum edisti. Tibi non credo. Igitur non manebo."
Aquam ex flumine celerrime bibit et salvus fugit.
