Active vs. Passive Voice

Part I

There are two sets of identical sentences below. For the first question, determine who is performing the action in the sentence. For the second question, determine whether the first answer is the subject of the verb or the object of either the verb or a preposition.

  1. The dog is eating the ham.
    Dog
    Ham

  2. The dog is eating the ham.
    Subject
    Object

  3. The dessert is being eaten by the guests
    Dessert
    Guests

  4. The dessert is being eaten the guests.
    Subject
    Object

  5. The race was won by the man.
