Course Description

Latin II from KET is a one-year high school course continuation of Latin I, designed to build on the language skills already acquired. Students use a deductive process that incorporates the four language skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Students extrapolate from what they have already learned to move into unexplored grammar and vocabulary. Students become familiar with aspects of the history and culture of the Romans, through a story of a fictious family during the time of Vespasian. Mythology study continues with an exploration of the underworld and a journey with the heroes of the Greco-Roman world.
