Oh, we sing of
Arachne who lived all alone
And she worked at the Weaver's trade.
And the only, only thing that she ever did wrong
Was compete with a heavenly maid.
She said,
"I am the very best!"
Minerva said, "We'll See-ee-ee."
So they wove and they wove,
and they wove and they wove
Till they finished their tapestries.
Minerva viewed
Arachne's work
and ripped it into shreds.
Her jealousy, it knew no bounds,
She hit her on the head.
Arachne tried to hang herself.
Minerva said, "No, Li-i-ive!
Live as a spider, you wicked girl,
This form to you I give."
