At the time of the
Greeks and Romans, the citizens needed examples of men and women who
could teach them how to lead a good and satisfying life. The Fables were
examples of rudimentary moral instruction- they were stories that taught
right from wrong, how decisions made for the wrong reasons could be bad
decisions in the long run, and how greed and avarice could change the good
in men to evil. Fables also told the plights of stong and brave men and women,
and showed how love could conquer all on earth.
