The Roman Lesser Deities

The influence of the Greek deities became so powerful in Rome that the ancient Roman deities were changed to resemble the twelve great Olympians. They did not have definitely personified gods of their own. The Romans were deep in their religious feeling, but they lacked imagination. The most prominent were originally one of the Numina who were connected with the life of the household except for Quirinus.
