How To Make a Stola

Materials needed: 2 pieces of material about 4' long and the same width joined by side seams and shoulder seams.

For pastel colors: same as above, plus 2 lengths of contrasting ribbon about 4' long and about 1" wide

1. Put 2 or 3 pleats before joining the shoulder seams (shown above on left).
2. Insert ribbon when joining the shoulder seams (shown above in center).
3. Cross ribbons in front, bring around back to front and tie (shown above on right).
