COURSE OFFERINGS
It is the school's responsibility to ensure that students have completed all prerequisites prior to registration. The school must meet all classroom technical requirements of the courses (including, but not limited to: Internet connectivity, computer requirements and telephone lines) prior to the first day of classes.
REQUIRED CLASSROOM EQUIPMENT
It is the responsibility of the school administration to ensure that all equipment is installed and operational prior to the start of classes.

TEXTBOOKS AND OTHER MATERIALS
All textbooks must be ordered by the schools. Allow at least 4 weeks for shipping. Textbook ordering information is located on the Course Description pages. Publishers may increase the cost of textbooks and shipping without notifying KET.
Course Guides and Supplementary Materials packets are shipped for enrolled schools and students in order to arrive by your school start date. Failure to enroll by the deadline will impact the ability to ship materials to arrive prior to start up.
SCHOOL CONTACT RESPONSIBILITIES
It is essential that KET be able to contact the designated school contact throughout the year. As part of the responsibilities/requirements, the school contact must:
- Make sure that the student has regularly scheduled access to an Internet computer, and to a telephone for the German classes.
- Ensure that the student has the Required Instructional Materials before class begins. These include the textbooks and instructional materials mailed by KET to the school.
- Proctor test taking.
- Receive progress reports and grades from the teacher, as well as notify the teacher when reports are needed
- Communicate with teacher by phone and through electronic mail.
- Initiate contact with KET to resolve any disciplinary issues.
Some courses are more demanding of the school contact. If you have questions or concerns about the level of responsibility, please contact the individual course instructors. Each course uses student/teacher interactivity to bring the curriculum to life. Students are expected to participate in all forms of interactivity including telephone, tutor lessons for language courses, and Internet applications.

ENROLLMENT MODIFICATION PROCEDURES
If it is necessary to modify enrollments, the school should correct the Enrollment Form or type changes on school letterhead and mail or fax (859.258.7390) to KET.
KET/KVHS 2009-2010 ENROLLMENT FORM FOR KENTUCKY SCHOOLS
Guidance Counselor or Virtual School Administrator should complete a separate form for each course. No more than 3 students from a school may be enrolled in each KET course through KVHS. Please call KET at 800.333.9764 for guidance in registering more than 3 students.
