How do I record individual scores? |
...or... |
Student Grades |
Some of the assignments from the teacher at KET will be graded by you, the
facilitator. When the teacher makes an assignment, they will create a
corresponding grade slot in the Grading Program. You can see the list of
current assignments at any time by pressing the List Assignments
button on the Facilitator Net screen. You should check this list regularly
to ensure that your students are keeping up with the course.
Once your students have been entered into the computer,
you can record grades for them in one of two ways: By Assignment or
By Student.
- Entering grades By Assignment is useful after grading a stack of
tests. From the Facilitator Net screen, click on the Grade Book link
at the top, then select Enter grades by assignment. Select the
assignment you want to work
with and hit the corresponding Enter Grades button. You will see a
brief summary of the assignment giving its name, points possible, and
category. Below, you will see a list of your students, and the scores
they currently have. Current Score will be blank if a student
does not have a score yet.
- Entering grades By Student is useful for entering several grades
for one student, such as make up work after an illness. From the Facilitator
Net screen, click on the Grade Book link at the top, then select
Enter grades by student. Select the
student you want to work with and hit the corresponding
Enter Grades button. You will see a list of all the assignments,
and this student's current score on each.

To enter a new score or change an old score with either method, simply
enter the points earned in the New Score field. You may fill in any
or all of the scores on the screen. Fields left empty will not change the
current score at all.
It is imperative that you press the Submit button after filling in
the new scores. If you do not, the scores you entered are never saved
and will be lost.
Omitting Grades
You have the option of omitting a grade for a student. If
a student is excused from turning in an assignment, simply enter
"OMIT" (without the quote marks) as the New Grade. When
reports are calculated, the Possible Points for that student will be
reduced to reflect the excused assignment.
